TM Forum - Service Provider Leadership Council

The Service Provider Leadership Council (SPLC) allows Service Providers to provide thought leadership to ensure that TM Forum initiatives address Service Providers’ current pain points and strategic directions.

In partnership with the TM Forum Board Operator Committee (OC), the SPLC provides a Service Providers’ view of the prioritization of TM Forum activities, and agrees cross industry Service Provider requirements.

The OC and SPLC provides the TM Forum, as a whole, and the individual teams, with a collective Service Provider view. The OC considers strategic goals, with the SPLC focusing on how these goals can be met and the effect that these goals will have on existing (and new) TM Forum teams.

SPLC Overview

The SPLC is a chartered group of the TM Forum that brings Service Provider (SP) members together for the resolution of issues of mutual interest. The SPLC is a vehicle:

...for sharing information of common interest to SPs

...to help provide direction to the vendor community to advance in a commonly beneficial direction

...to produce requirements that will drive the TM Forum Technical Program including NGOSS

...to communicate how end-user customer requirements translate to service provider requirements

Open Source Working Table Interest Group
The aim of the Open Source Working Table Interest Group is to strategically address the issue of OpenSource Software, through the creation of a community of Service Providers that manages synergy trends and Open Source tool adoption, creating value from new approaches and technologies, and reducing risk of OpenSource Adoption. Large Scale Buyers Council
Although not run under the SPLC, the Large Scale Buyers Council is a new strategic initiative of particular interest. This group is also in early development and currently working on producing a charter. Read About the objectives of the council here.
