Revenue Assurances is still a young discipline in its formatting stages. The TMF Revenue Assurance team is working on defining basic concepts, and best practices. This Nice 2005 catalyst project will make these concepts and best practices more accessible to the industry by exemplify them in a challenging RA situation. Participating Companies: China Unicom, TeliaSonera, Atos Origin, cVidya Networks Inc, Datamat SpA, Huawei, MetraTech Corp, Subex Systems Limited, WebMethods Inc

The main emphasis of the Revenue Assurance (RA) for the Lean Operator catalyst is on the implications of RA methodology and tools as formalized by the RA modeling team on the eTOM and SID models and vice versa. Currently there is no industry accepted RA methodology which will enable deployment of effective RA processes across various activities, systems and network technologies.

This catalyst project validated through demonstration the RA team model for Standard KPIs, and test its applicability in a real life situation. The results of this catalyst will be fed back into the RA team work. Championed by China Unicom, Mobile TeleSystems and Swisscom. Participating companies were cVidya, Datamat, Ernst & Young, Microsoft, SubexAzure, and Tata Consultancy Services

The Catalyst will focus on a constrained business scenario and related NGOSS components to illustrate generalized capabilities for leveraging NGOSS standards to deliver SOX compliance.

This project will explore the requirements for Content, Traffic and Quality Settlements across different networks, but within a “walled-garden”, which is the definition for an interconnect contract/settlement between multiple telecom service providers and the content provider.
