| About the Knowledge Certification Program |
The Knowledge Certification Program is a testing program where candidates are evaluated on their knowledge of the Business Process Framework (eTOM)or the Information Framework (SID). Currently, the testing is for foundation level knowledge, but the program will expand in the future to include more detailed technical certification, as well.
Certification lasts for two years, and only individuals may be certified, not companies.

| Why Become Knowledge Certified? |
Becoming TM Forum Knowledge Certified raises the bar for your company.
- Systems integrators: Offer your clients assurances that your staff have the knowledge to work on their Business Process Framework (eTOM) and Information Framework (SID) projects.
- Software Vendors: Get your staff onto the same page and get your projects off the ground by training them and certifying them in the Business Process Framework (eTOM) and Information Framework (SID). This program maximizes your development investment and offers personal growth to your staff.
- Service Providers: Know what you are asking for when you ask for TM Forum standards. You and your suppliers will be speaking the same language if you receive TM Forum Knowledge Certification
- Individual Consultants: With your TM Forum Knowledge Certification you can separate yourself from the pack and provide your clients with confidence that you can make their Business Process Framework (eTOM) and Information Framework (SID) projects successful.

| About the Knowledge Certification Exam |
|
Having satisfied the appropriate pre-requisites, a candidate may apply through the registration process. There is a fee of US$500 for sitting each exam. Knowledge Certification exams take place in person, and will be offered in various locations around the world, generally within 3 months after training is given in that location.
Upon receipt of a registration the TM Forum will verify that the above pre-requisites are met. The TM Forum reserves the right to reject any registration it deems no to meet the pre-requisites.
Upon Completion of the exam your papers will be taken away to be graded.
- Candidates who pass may have their name and company name put onto the “Knowledge Recognition” area on the TM Forum
- A letter will be sent to your management when you pass the test, letting them know that you have become Knowledge Certified. You simply need to let us know who to send the letter to.
- If desired, you will receive an official Certificate of Knowledge Certification from the TM Forum training department.
- Candidates who fail the exam will be offered an additional attempt at the exam at no further cost. If the candidate fails for a second time they will be prohibited from taking the exam again.
