Summary:
With the advent of multi-service networks and BSS/OSS supporting voice, data and video from fixed and mobile networks, the need to align processes utilizing separate systems for voice and data, fixed networks and mobile networks, during the migration to new systems has become a big challenge. Existing processes and their data need to be captured, along with use cases and functional descriptions and new converged processes need to be defined which eliminate redundancy and duplicity. The study is based on the eTOM / NGOSS based work done by Siemens Information Systems for a leading Indian private Communication Service Provier.
